Graeme Saxby (Bsc(Hons) DO)
Graeme Saxby was educated through Oxford Brookes University
where he studied Human Biology and at the British School
of Osteopathy He qualified as an osteopath in 1991. After
working in Lincoln, Cambridge and Auckland NZ, he established
the practice in Poole where has now lives with his wife
and young family.
In addition to private osteopathy, Graeme feels strongly
that osteopaths should be available to all through the
NHS. To this end, he works with two local GP practices.
Between 1996 and 2001, Graeme has been the secretary to
the Wessex Group of Osteopaths, promoting awareness of
osteopathy, acting as a think tank and developing postgraduate
learning as part of the role.
In 1997, Graeme spent a year at his old college teaching
the techniques of osteopathy to undergraduates of all
year groups and since 1999 has taught technique and clinical
management at the London College of Osteopathic Medicine,
a postgraduate conversion course for medical doctors.
Graeme has an interest in all things sporting, but a particular
enthusiasm for windsurfing and watersports. To this end,
he has worked with the Professional Windsurfing Association
and with top-flight windsurfers in Great Britain.
From June 2007 Graeme will be on secondment from Poole
Bay Osteopaths. He will be taking up a position as a teaching
fellow at Unitec in Auckland, New Zealand for a period
of two years. He will be teaching on a Human Biology degree
programme and Masters Programme in Osteopathy ….
Mirroring his own career path! At the same time he plans
to complete a Masters programme himself, in Education.
The secondment completes in June 2009 so he will be back
to the clinic to resume normal duties.
Thomas Conba BSc(Hons)Ost
Tom trained at the British School of Osteopathy. He has
a lifelong interest in rural and traditional medicine
and has spent a number of years in South East Asia studying
Chinese manipulative therapies, and two years in Ireland
researching the traditional methods of "bone setters"
before moving to Poole, his family home.
He has spent a number of years working with children,
specialising in cranial osteopathy and teaches embryology
and clinical skills /technique at the British School of
Osteopathy.
Tom has also taught at the London College of Osteopathic
Medicine, but with “baby Conba” imminent has
opted to stay at home in recent months.

Dr Damon Murgatroyd MBChB, DGM, FLCOM
Damon has a vast wealth of experience from hospital based
medicine and private practice. He can offer a range of
additional treatments including cortisone injections and
epidurals for the most severely affected and has experience
with acupuncture as well as the numerous facets of osteopathic
healthcare. As a teacher on the conversion course for
medics to become Osteopaths he has seen the medical and
osteopathic viewpoint and combined them to form a comprehensive
orthopaedic assessment and treatment specialist.
Damon has recently refreshed and renewed his status as
a GP and continues to be active with the NHS as a GP with
Specialist Interest in Osteopathic Medicine.
Mandy
Marshall, Massage Therapist
Mandy
qualified as a Massage Therapist in 2003, leaving a full
time career in software sales to concentrate on a health
and fitness. Working locally and in clinic at Purbeck
Sports Centre, Mandy focusses on deep tissue massage,
for the relief of soft tissue problems including sports
& trauma related injuries to the muscles.Mandy is
also a qualified Pilates and Stability Ball instructor
who advocates the use of tailored exercise and stretching
programmes, with massage, to encourage ongoing rehabilitation
or to increase flexibilty and mobility.
Lucy Ross-Browne
Lucy qualified from the British School of Osteopathy
in London. She has recently moved to Dorset from
Bristol to joint Poole Bay Osteopaths Ltd.
Lucy has post graduate cranial osteopathic training and
experience. She combines this with general osteopathic
skills to treat a wide range of problems in patients of
all ages.
She is a member of the Sutherland Society and specialises
in the treatment of pre and post natal mothers and childhood
conditions such as birth trauma, colic and glue ear.
Richard Gulliver
has joined the practice after developing his skills in Winchester, Andover, Romsey and latterly in Fordingbridge. This extensive experience over eight years has equipped him with a rounded osteopathic repertoire, but as a keen sportsman, particularly as a rugby fly-half, he has a special interest in shoulder girdle imbalance and dislocation.
